Hood Latch on Jeep - WD40 Repair

After having a scare on the highway, we noticed that the hood latch on my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee was pretty well stuck, and that it was not securely holding the hood latch in place while driving. WD40 was sprayed in and around the latch to loosen the built up gunk. After repeatedly moving the latch back and forth, and allowing the WD40 formula to penetrate within the mechanism, the hood latch began fluidly rebounding and securely closing; keeping me safe on the road!
