Screetch Screetch!!
Every year at this time, I have to bring out the Wd 40 spray on the clothesline pulley. I live close to the water, so the salt spray does a number on a pulley that is out all year long.
I love hanging clothes on the line, I love the thoughts of saving the environment, and on my electric bill, but it's not worth it if I have to hear screetch, screetch, screetch after every movement with my right hand as I struggle with hanging clothes and moving the line.
Step 1: spiders Begone!
I started by removing the spiders first, then leaves, sludge, and even a piece of spruce tree with a broom.
I gave some good sprays and moved it back and forth, and getting it into the pulley pin system helped smooth out the movement of the contact surfaces.simple fix...
Step 2: Screetch Begone
One slight movement and even smoother glide!
fresh smelling, eco friendly, money saving ! I trust it, I use every year at this time to make my clothesline be in tip top shape.
