Seized socket retention ball

The socket retention ball on my ratchet was found to be seized and prevented the attachment of the extension and socket to the ratchet. I sprayed the retention ball with WD 40 and left it for about 1 hour to seep into the mechanism. I then depressed the ball a couple of times and it was free to operate as per normal.
