Chaotic Camping Chain Challenge - WD-40 saved the day!

We recently went camping as a family and were madly trying to pack up and collapse our pop up trailer in order to be off our site on time. The kids were driving us absolutely nuts and slowing things down, so we bribed them with ice cream to get them out of our hair. As luck would have it, shortly after riding off one of the kids hit a pothole and the chain fell off their bike and they came screaming back. They were melting down and refused to walk, so I had to drop everything and fix the chain. I didn’t have a lot of fancy tools at hand, so I used a simple adjustable wrench to try and loosen the tire so I could slip the chain back on. Unfortunately, the wheel nut would not budge and that did not help calm things down. Luckily, we hadn’t yet packed the WD-40 and I was able to spritz the nut to help loosen it and get things moving. I positioned the tire so that I could slip the chain back on and then brought the tension back and tightened things up again. The kids rode off and brought back ice cream and were quiet for a bit so that we could continue to pack up and get on our way. (We were technically 15 minutes late getting off of our site, but it would have been a LOT longer if WD-40 hadn’t saved the day.)
