MK1 VW Cabriolet Restoration
1988 VW Cabriolet “Joanne” This was my grandmother’s car before she passed away, it's a 1988 VW Cabriolet. I’ve spent the better part of three years restoring it from top to bottom. It’s been an incredible learning experience and caused more than a few scrapped knuckles over the years. As this is a car from the 80's it has its quirks, but with the help of several WD40 products, it’s been less stressful. Rusted bolts and greasy messes didn’t stand a chance! Almost everything has been restored on this vehicle including: **Engine Rebuild**Soft Top Replacement**Interior**Exterior Paint**LED Lights**Suspension**Transmissions Rebuild**Electrical System**Audio System etc... Of course, I couldn’t have done this alone, I’ve had the helping hands and paws of my partner “D” and our mechanic kitty “Leo” (see photos). I look forward to continuing the restoration process with WD-40! Every spray feels like a step closer to reviving the VW to its former glory.
