Repairing my 3-speed cruiser bicycle
I hadn't touched my 3-speed cruiser bike in a couple of years, and it had definitely seen better days — it wasn't running very smoothly nor looking too sharp. I wanted to bike around the city and enjoy the spring weather, but I didn't want to buy a brand new bike. I decided to see if my partner (Daniel) and I could repair this bike, rather than replace it.
Step 1
Upon assessment, there was lots of rust and the bearings in the head stem were seized.
Step 2
Applied WD-40 liberally to all the mechanical and rusty parts of the bicycle (which was basically the entire bike).

As an example, here's the front wheel axle nut before WD-40.

Step 5
After cleaning the entire frame and mechanical parts (particularly the head stem bearings) with WD-40, my old bike is back in tip-top shape and ready to ride! She's moving smoother and looking slicker, too. I'm ready to get out and enjoy the spring weather with her!
