WD-40: The Key to My Secure Compound's Safety

Today, the old padlock on the secure compound gate gave me a serious scare. It was completely seized with rust, just like the time before when we got hit with that equipment theft. The frustration and the immediate vulnerability I felt were intense. I remembered the gut-wrenching feeling of discovering the open gate and the missing tools. That's why I always keep a can of WD-40 handy now. I grabbed it, sprayed the stubborn lock liberally, and like magic, the key turned smoothly, and the shackle sprang open. Seriously, if it wasn't for WD-40 loosening up that lock, our compound would have been completely vulnerable to theft again. That stuff is the best – it's a quick fix that gives you real peace of mind, especially when security is on the line. After what happened before, I wouldn't trust anything else to keep that lock working.
